Optimized and Secured Utilization of Infrastructure Resources using VMWare Stretched Cluster Multi-Site Solutions

Organizations over the period have installed multi-site data center solutions for maintaining workload agility, load balancing, resource sharing, integrated network connections, security procedures, and disaster recovery [1]. The purpose of multi-site data center is to offer high uptime cloud services that have a thorough disaster recovery plan in place, ensuring controlling compliance. This type of implementation of multi-site centers faces many challenges over the period. Moreover, the conventional solutions have been insufficient in assisting organizations to solve complex issues. In this paper we will discuss the present schemes that organizations have deployed for multiple data centers at a different geographical location along with disaster recovery and propose a better solution with VMware NSX that leverage a network overlay providing a complete holistic multi-site solution.
