Li Wang · 2022
Wang Li discusses the use of the indefinite pronoun, reflexive pronoun, reciprocal pronoun and modified pronoun. First, the indefinite pronouns, which serve to substitute for indefinite persons or things, are introduced, with usages of words such as “人” ( rén ; people), “人家” ( rén jia ; other), “这” ( zhè ; this) and “那” ( nà ; that) being explored. Second, the word “自己” ( zì jǐ ; oneself), which is often in apposition with the subjective position or objective position and serves to reflexively indicate the subject of a sentence, is investigated. Finally, the reciprocal pronoun “相” ( xiāng ; each other) and the modified pronoun “者” ( zhě ; one) are investigated in detail.
