Technology solutions and challenges for innovations that will improve our lives in pandemic crisis

Last year the world faced the COVID-19 pandemic emergency and tried to fight the crisis with recent technology innovations and applications that have been developed. Those challenges arises the role of technology researchers and information systems in global pandemic. This paper is focused to present and promote the importance of technology innovations and research to influence the pandemic conditions of society when have to maintain the health care and social functioning during the lockdowns and to produce better solutions for tackling future pandemics. A view of the perspective on their implications as impact of COVID-19 is formulated, together with the key lessons learned during the lockdown that have been collected.
