Two-way Connection between Virtual and Real Worlds: Real-time Synchronization Using VRChat

Sheng-Wen Kuo, Ju-Chun Ko · 2022 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics - Taiwan · 2022

The interaction between the virtual world and the real world has received continuous attention in recent years, and this type of interaction has often been found unidirectional or asynchronous. By reviewing the literature, this study explained our view of the virtual world, as well as the necessity of media and the directional connection in the interaction of the two worlds. To validate our design concept, we created a wall in the virtual world that can be instantly synchronized and interact with the monitor in the real world. Based on our findings in the design process, we also proposed applying the concept to more senses in the future.
