The Political Optimizer for Image Thresholding
Diego A. Oliva, Noe Ortega-Sánchez, Salvador Hinojosa, Marco Pérez‐Cisneros · 2022
The political optimizer (PO) is based on the behavior of large groups of people; thus, it is taken as an inspiration to create the PO. It mimics the interactions of individuals and groups; the main objective is to become leaders of their parties, thus seeking the benefit of the group. This process is complicated, involving different individuals and organizations, where they are looking for personal and group goals. This chapter will study the phases: Party formation, Party switching, Ticket allocation, Election campaign, Inter-party election, and Government formation and parliamentary affairs. In addition, Otsu&s;s theory will be reviewed to integrate it into the algorithm, which will give us the capacity to find the optimal thresholds for image segmentation. The end of the chapter presents the experimental result and statical of implementing the algorithm with 2,4,8, and 16 threholds.
