In blind ice hockey, a modified puck that provides auditory feedback to players is one of the key adaptations of the game, but it suffers from durability challenges. In this paper, we present the design and evaluation of protective rings that increase durability while minimizing acoustic dampening. Results illustrate that ring location has a larger effect on puck acoustics compared to tightness, laying the foundation for the design optimization and scalability of protective puck enclosures.
