Is energy the weak link in the UK’s critical national infrastructure?

The UK’s energy sector has been identified as a major target for ransomware attacks, a concerning issue given its place as part of the nation’s critical national infrastructure (CNI). This refers to assets and industries that are deemed essential to the functioning of a society and economy by the Government. Effective cyber security measures in the energy industry have never been more important and the Government, and its respective bodies, have an important role to play in improving cyber security for CNI.
