Software has become an integral component of society these days. Various kinds of software are being used in our daily lives. This paper presents a systematic literature review to identify the merits and demerits associated with seven plan-driven Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models, namely Waterfall Model, V-Model, Iterative Model, Incremental Prototyping Model, Spiral Model, and Rapid Application Development (RAD) Model. This paper also describes the usability of each model with some real-world examples.
