Quantifying resolution and power use in integrated photonic accelerators

Energy efficiency is a key value proposition of photonic vector-matrix accelerators. Quantifying their efficiency presents a challenge. We describe a system-level approach that yields new device metrics, power contributor comparisons, and roadmapping strategies.
