Data ownership in software applications
Brian M. Krupp · ACM SIGCAS Computers and Society · 2021
Today there are many ways that we can convert our analog data into digital formats. Things such as paper receipts and stacks of notebooks piled in an office can be a thing of the past. But as we make this digital transformation and continue to invest time into the software tools that we use, the question of who owns the data is often considered. As a CS professor, a considerable amount of my personal data is stored in note taking software.
