In recent wireless communication systems, OFDM-MIMO systems have been used widely because of its high robustness and high transmission capability. By using forward error correction on a large number of antennas in CDD, it is possible to increase frequency selectivity and achieve OFDM frequency diversity (FEC). Frequency selective fading requires a precise estimate of the CDD-OFDM channel. An easy-to-use approach to estimating time-varying channels is presented in this paper. To estimate the channel coefficients, distributed pilot structures are first created to test the frequency correlation of CDD-OFDM channels. The proposed channel estimator has a substantially better performance measure over time-varying channels compared to previous techniques.
