The concept of Smart cities is basically, the cities that contain a lot of intelligent things to enhance the quality of life. The technologies such as drones, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT, are the need for a balanced and quick responding ecosystem in smart cities, by increasing their connectivity, energy efficiency and service quality (SQ). A Smart city requires automated intelligent systems which keeps every part of the city connected. Unmanned arial vehicles popularly known as drone along with the Internet can alter the traditional way of doing things. This internet of drone (IoD) can play an essential role in a variety of smart urban applications, for example; weather forecasting, healthcare, communications, transport, agriculture, safety, and protection, environmental reduction, service delivery, and e-disposal, etc. Internet of drones (IoD) can alter the idea of the surveillance because of its mobility and fundamentally change the method and viewpoint of data collection and input to governments, businesses, and people. This chapter 324 will discuss the application of the Internet of Drone (IoD) to make a Smart City.
