Health education is a very influencing factor to the knowledge and to the psychological reaction of Body image of gangrene patients. the lack of health education will affect the level of knowledge of patients in the face of DM disease, and can affect the psychological reaction of Body image so that patients with dangren tend towards maladaptive reaction. The purpose of this study is how the influence of health education on the knowledge and psychological reactions of the body image of gangrene patients. The design of this study was pre-post test in one group (one-group pre-post-test desing) where the object group is observed before the intervention and then observed again after being given intervention. Population was all patients with diabetes mellitus who experience gangrene in Dahlia and Gardena spaces RSUD Ibnu Sina Gresik regency as many as 24 patients with purposive sampling technique in sampling of 20 respondents. independent variable in this research was health education and dependent variable in this research was Knowledge and psychological reactions of body image of diabetes mellitus patient with gangrene. Data collection using questionnaires and observation sheets. Based on Wilcoxon Signed Rank Statistics Test known Sign value (2-tailed) was 0,000, it showed there was an influence of health education on the knowledge of gangrene patients. psychological reactions Body image showed the value of Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.005 indicates there was influence of health education to psychological reaction body image of gangrene patient. Health education plays an important role in improving knowledge and change the psychological reaction Body image gangrene patients become adaptive. Health education to DM patients with gangrene should be given for longer periods and as often as possible.
