Research on Distribution Network Differentiated Protection Technology Based on Power 5G Virtual Private Network

With the continuous development of power grid construction to intelligence and informationization, grid control gradually expands to the end and the whole process, which urgently needs 5G technology to provide “high security, low latency, large bandwidth, high reliability and large connection” communication services. This paper analyzes the existing differential protection service transmission requirements, proposes a distribution network differential protection technology based on 5G virtual private network, and validates the effectiveness by customizing differential protection uRLLC slicing, applying differential protection data synchronization method, and combining with power 5G communication environment. The results show that the proposed method can efficiently meet the communication requirements of distribution network differential protection.
