The Internet has become a very large infrastructure with the massive development required for users. The quality of service has become one of the most important requirements of the Internet with the rapid rate of development. Many services and applications that users need on global networks, including video conferencing, online gaming, file transfer, online communication, and others. The presence of a waiting mechanism or queues is one of the most important requirements for organizing traffic across networks. The transmitted data is temporarily stored while waiting for transmission in the routers in the networks, this is called the waiting system. In this paper, we have compared different scheduling schemes for Quality of Service (QoS) in a careful study of the effects of different queuing algorithms on the performance of many different applications (file transfer protocol, audio and video conferencing) over IPv4 and IPv6 networks using the OPNET designer used to model, simulate and analyze network behavior. The queue algorithms that were selected for comparison are (Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ), Modified Deficit Round-Robin (MDRR) and Class-based Weighted Fair Queuing (CBWFQ)) The main objective of this paper is to present a study focused on quality of service (QoS) using queues in different systems.
