PalmPrint Recognition using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks

Palmprint recognition system is gaining popularity in the biometrics research field, and it is considered as one of the most essential behavioral aspects of biometrics. The proposed approach was evaluated using the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) palmprint database and a non-classical technique for palmprint recognition using InceptionResnet-v2 pre-trained deep neural networks (DNNs) and by adding some layers such as fully connected with Rectified Linear Unit (ReLU), dropout, and fully connected with softmax. And received a score of 99.21% with loss validation 0.173 %.
