Gesture Interaction System Design for Telerehabilitation Based on Mediapipe

Tele-rehabilitation has gained much attention for patients' rehabilitation treatment. Hand gesture recognition is considered important in tele-rehabilitation area, since its efficiency. In this paper, we design a computer vision-based rehabilitation equipment gesture interaction system, which uses a computer vision-based gesture recognition algorithm to recognize the user's dynamic gestures. It is implemented via MediaPipe, a framework for building cross-platform ML solutions. This paper proved that the system has a promoting effect on hand gesture recognition, and it can assist doctors in rehabilitation training.
