The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a large number of physical devices available in the world that are connected to the internet to share data. Exchanging data using IoT enabled devices produces advanced services to influence the eminence of our daily life. By embedding sensors, electronics, and software, the Internet of Things empowers several computing devices and objects near us. In IoT, architecture devices can be uniquely addressable and easily identifiable and traceable. Though the Internet of Things brought countless reimbursements, it produces numerous challenges, particularly in the field of security and privacy. Various products and services are implemented to maintain to ensure security and privacy. This chapter presents a few highlights on IoT security, privacy, challenges, and solutions. The chapter begins with an introduction to IoT, its architecture, and its various characteristics. After that, various Internet of Things security challenges and best practices to safeguard devices are addressed. To maintain the privacy of various IoT devices, this chapter emphasizes privacy threats and their solutions.
