Biological swarm behaviour of slime mould is a popular application algorithm in engineering optimization problems. It’s food searching behaviour is more around in two-dimensional plane i.e. plane surface only, while population decide for future displacement. This limit situation is investigated for additional better chances of investigation. Seagull Optimization Algorithm is utilized to further increase in exploration. A complete analysis is tested through 23 benchmark functions. The validation of our method is done by comparing 3 standard algorithms. The proposed Slime Mould-Seagull (SMS) Algorithm would be helpful for function optimization in taking care of optimization-based engineering design.
