Internet of Things (IoT) provides internet connectivity of embedded computing devices such as electronic or networking devices and many more. IoT devices security is a major challenge due to its multiple points of vulnerability. DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) is one of the most serious attacks that disrupt the ubiquitous IoT service by causing congestion and disrupting normal device functionality. In this paper, subjective logic based trust approach against DDOS attacks is proposed for IoT based on positive and negative evidences. The implementation of intrusion detection with and without subjective logic approach is conducted using Cooja simulator. The performance evaluation demonstrates that the intrusion detection with subjective logic achieves the better results compared to without subjective logic in terms of detection accuracy, throughput, overhead and power consumption.
