WSNs (wireless sensor networks) are linked to the internet, making them a powerful network for dealing with real-world problems. As revolutionary technologies grow swiftly, a lightweight and hardware-constrained sensor with processing potentials and finite energy resources is present in WSN. This network, however, has a serious security problem. The protection of various assaults such as DoS (Denial of Service) has become a difficult task due to the wireless communication medium. As a result, numerous strategies for detecting DoS attacks have been proposed. For measuring the effect of an attack on a network, various parameters such as throughput, PDR (packet delivery ratio), and E2E (end to end) delay are computed. Real-world datasets are used in the simulations. Simulations show that DoS assaults reduce WSN's survivability, yet certain models have shown to be effective at detecting DoS attacks.
