R. Punitha Gowri, R. Rathipriya · 2022

The novel drug discovery for most of the complex diseases is based on the drug target proteins. In many cases, the pathogen proteins may learn to overplay on the target proteins, and the targeted therapy may fail. For this issue, the targeted therapy can be developed based on the drug target modules. In this chapter, a multifunctional score based coclustering approach CoClustering with MapReduce MR-CoC multi is introduced for drug target module mining with five novel biological scores namely hydrophobic residues density, sequence length, polar residues density, amino acid density, molecular weight scores. These scores are also proposed for this purpose. The results evident that, the MR-CoC multi outperforms the existing approach. Based on the biological functionality and drug target proteins in the results the drug target modules are suggested.
