Role and Development of Security Architecture and Models in Software Systems

The digital and physical worlds both demand a very sensitive security systems. The task of authenticating and distributing data is a major challenge in the software world. Such demands and requirements have enhanced the importance of security and have gained a lot of attention in the software world. This chapter is related to the domains of security architecture and design, consisting of hardware and software requirements for secure computer systems and the security models to keep the systems secure. The chapter highlights the security requirements in the IoT environment and specially discusses research work on IoT-based home security systems along with AI based security solutions for the IoT environment. The chapter also contains a study of security architecture and security systems for specific domains proposed by different researchers.
