By introducing, constructing, and perfecting the system of intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) and smart home in accordance with quantitative evaluation criteria, the evaluation system of elderly living space was established. First, the construction situation of smart elderly services, user experiences, and social requirements were concluded based on the collection and review of the related literature. Then, the indexes involved in the intelligent IoT system for the elderly were evaluated. The expert questionnaires were designed and distributed for analysis. Finally, through decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) analysis, a new evaluation index system was established. The research results reflect various aspects that need to be noticed in the construction of elderly living space in the intelligent IoT era and provide insightful references for constant improvement and update of future intelligent IoT systems, thereby making the elderly living space more convenient and comfortable and meeting the needs of society than before.
