Agent-based multicriteria load balancing in heterogeneous computational networks

D. A. Murashov · Informatization and communication · 2022

Recent advancements in the domain of computer networks necessitate creating self-configured rapidly deployed adaptable computational networks. It encompasses a number of scientific and technical objectives including the problem of load balancing. State-of-the-art technologies and scientific achievements enable creating networks with complex topologies. However, a substantial part of those solutions only covers narrow venues such as ensuring uniform task distribution in a cluster. Moreover, widespread use of agent-based approach as the architectural basis entails the problem of controlling clusters due to the fact that agents often operate autonomously. The paper offers an approach which enables load balancing coordination with regard to a particular objective thus solving both problems. In the paper, one can find the algorithm of multicriteria load balancing along with the results of a computational experiment based upon a model implementing the approach.
