In terms of extended plate thickness and yield strength ranges, Modern plate market requirements represent a limitation for many steel producers to offer a top-quality flat plate due to the insufficient capacity of their existing leveling machines. Looking at this technical challenge Danieli, developed its new-generation EVO/6 leveler, based on a multi-cassette technology. Supported by technological packages like MULTIMOTOR and updated L2 automation models, the EVO/6 is suitable for typical plate thickness ranging below 3/16″ and up to 4″ (4.76 – 101.6 mm), of hot rolled material as well as heat treated plates, and delivers plate flatness within most stringent ASTM and EN standards.
