A trustworthy cloud environment using homomorphic encryption: a review

One of the proposed techniques for cloud data security is using Homomorphic Encryption (HE). Homomorphic encryption can provide end-to-end security for big data analytic and preserve privacy. This paper reviews and summarizes recent studies and proposed solutions for securing big data using homomorphic encryption. Moreover, the selected studies are compared and analyzed in terms of the techniques and algorithms they used. This study provides the researchers and practitioners with a clear vision of recently proposed solutions and applications using homomorphic encryption, and it can save time and effort for further research.
