Key technologies in the digital transformation of finance

The digital transformation widespread in the economy has forced both the financial sector and finance departments to introduce far-reaching technological, organizational and even cultural changes. These changes primarily meet the needs of customers who want to use services and purchase financial products more conveniently than before, in a shorter time, often bypassing personal contact, but still with a high level of security. Meeting these requirements induces the need to build a new work environment that will provide solutions for processes automation and routine activities, but at the same time will support the decision-making process to a greater extent than before, guaranteeing flexibility, adaptability, speed and high security of tasks performed. This chapter presents the most important technologies and examples of solutions used in this area, indicating the most important development trends, focused on applications in the finance.
