Wireless Sensor Networks are an innovative technology that can be used to provide important information. Their applications are being found in several areas today like agriculture, healthcare, critical infrastructures, public safety and military applications with aim to sense, monitor and detect remotely different events. The aim of this research is focused on providing a solution based entirely on the latest wireless communication systems. This means that the gathered data from the WSN are transmitted through the next generation of radio communication technologies and processed on the cloud computing networks. A systematic literature review is conducted to gather and process data which provide information about related technologies. In order to have current information about this, data belongs to the last five years of research and are found at well-known publishers like IEEE Xplore, SpringerLink and ScienceDirect & Elsevier, as well as the white papers of latest industrial developments. The processed information shows that there can be a model which integrates WSN, NGMN and cloud computing when the multi-tier computing networks are used. The paper explores this information by providing data from related researches which are systematically reviewed where the defined findings are discussed and concluded.
