Recent advancements in information technology and the ever-increasing sophistication of digital networks have compelled creating the orchestration of intelligent technologies: cyber physical systems (CPS). Cloud-based analysis in CPS is a flexible and dependable architecture for performing analytics operations on large data streams, such as processing, aggregating, and analyzing data at various granularities. In a cyber physical cloud computing system, integrating cloud computing with heterogeneous networks creates a number of threats. This chapter discusses upcoming findings on cyber physical structures in the cloud world and recent advances implementing machine learning and deep learning. We have studied cloud attack prevention models, a cloud-based CPS security framework, and the challenges in the implementation of CPS at the cloud layer. Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS) can be implemented at any IoT network’s edge router, on a single or many hosts, or on each physical device to guarantee that possible attacks are detected.
