Cloud computing is an emerging field in this era. Everybody wants to follow less is more approach means in less money wants to avail more services. These services are application based services or hardware based services like CPU, or I/O based services. An effective scheduling approach is required which can guarantee minimum average waiting time and maximum utilization of resources. Generally, algorithms like Shortest Job First (SJF), Round Robin (RR), First Come First Serve (FCFS), and Priority scheduling are used for allocating resources to Virtual Machines (VMs) in a cloud culture. The Simulation for these algorithms has been done in CloudSim simulator for checking effectiveness. Specifically, this paper discloses a novel approach of diagnosing significant metrics of load balancing such as turnar o und time and waiting time. Based on the analysis, it has been noted that the SJF is better than the rest of the algorithms based on turnaround time and minimum average waiting time.
