A Review on Cyber Security Issues and Research Challenges in Internet of Things

The Internet of things generally referred to as IoT, has changed the world drastically. A small device when connected to the internet can be operated comfortably from anywhere you sit in the world. With the advent of the IoT devices the world has become a simpler place to live in, where devices can be controlled from mere gadgets available in the hand. There has been a drastic change in the world scenario as newer and newer devices are adding up the industry every now and then and hardly any sector is untouched. These mechanized devices are robust to use but frequently there is a security breach or security lapse as the firmware, the underlying software these devices are attached with for controlling it, can be breached at times due to non-up gradation of the software or there may be malware attacks that may change the whole scenario of the utility of the IoT devices, as they seem to be uncontrollable by the user. Hackers stealing the information are a perennial problem. In this article is discussed an overview of how the security is breached and few underlying steps that must be taken to avoid such breaches. The secondary aim of this article is finding security issues in various recent domains like Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Networking.
