A reproducible semi-virtual test drive for V2X-communication is applied on a new scan phase antenna diversity setup. On base of measured characteristics of a set of V2X-diversity antennas a test drive is performed in a virtual city model, creating a channel model which is emulated in a hardware transmission system. By that the performance of V2X-antennas and connected RF-signal processing circuits can be analyzed in a reproducible way. In a new example a scan-phase diversity setup is presented and analyzed within the test drive. This setup is able to phase, combine and to switch the different diversity antenna signals for an improved signal to noise ratio. By way of this reproducible analysis is shown, that the scan-phase-diversity reduces packet error rates significantly compared with a single antenna transmission.
