Operating switching systems is a primary function of a live event video technician. Cutting cameras or switching between various sources on numerous screens is handled in several different ways. Broadcast production switchers have been around quite a while and are a familiar interface. Multi-screen management systems have only been around for a few decades or so. Then there are single screen switchers which handle the smallest of meeting rooms or events. What is right? When are you bringing a sledgehammer to drive a nail?
