Discussion on tuning method of quantization factor of fuzzy PID controller

Abstract Quantization factor is one of the main external parameters of a fuzzy PID controller, which has an obvious impact on the performance of the controller. The traditional setting methods do not reveal its inherent laws. In this paper, we take a specific fuzzy PID control system as the research object. Secondly, we study the influence of quantization factor on the performance of the controller in detail. We propose a new method of calculating quantization factor with probability coverage. Experiments are conducted to prove its rationality and effectiveness
