Evolution of Communication Protocols

Kutub Thakur, Abu Kamruzzaman, Al‐Sakib Khan Pathan · 2022

The natures of the communication protocols are different from each other, but the core principles and objectives of all those communication protocols are the same. Telecommunication protocols play a vital role in modern communication technologies, such as: telephone systems, television systems, satellite systems, data communication, the internet technologies, brain–computer interface, tele-learning systems, radar systems and cellular phone systems. The start of the communication protocols dates back hundreds of years when people started using smoke and fire signals for remote communication. Analog multiplexing is the process of mixing the analog signals with respect to wavelengths and frequencies of the input signals to form a composite signal for transmission. Wavelength-division multiplexing is almost a variant of frequency multiplexing in analog electronic communication systems. In this type of multiplexing, multiple input signals of different wavelengths are multiplexed into a composite signal that consists of multiple wavelengths in the output signal.
