Cybercrime costs 110bn a year – maybe more

Symantec's annual Norton Cybercrime Report has put the cost of consumer cybercrime at $100bn a year – a figure extrapolated from incidents reported by people in 24 countries. Given that a significant amount of cybercrime must go unreported, and may even involve people who don't realise they have become victims, the true figure is likely to be much higher.
