For example, MP3 players surpassed all previous CEA estimates for a record-setting year in 2003, despite continued debates over digital downloading. The renewed interest in and launch of several Internet pay services seems a likely cause for the increased sales. Dollar revenues of MP3 players for 2003 increased to $556 million, a 171% increase over 2002. CEA projects dollar revenues of MP3 players to increase another 27% to $706 million for 2004 (CEA, 2004b). These all-in-one systems can be found in one out of every three U.S. homes today (CEA, 2003).
