The complexity and dynamics of present-day problems lead to a new stage in research and in seeking the optimal solutions in technical, economic and social environments.Therefore, advanced multidimensional optimization techniques are based not only on mathematic concepts, but also on elements of artificial intelligence.In this paper we present a modified version of the Nelder & Mead algorithm, as well as the trends of Genetic Algorithms and Swarm Intelligence.
