If the worksheet is used over a long period of time, then documentation is essential. This chapter examines a variety of tools that can be used for this purpose. The chapter examines how to go from worksheet to picture, how to show the formulas in F9 and C14, how to construct the equation, using a screen capture application, and using the Excel add-in called MathLook. Microsoft provides an applet (a small application that is run from within another application) called Equation Editor, which may be used in programs such as Word or Excel to create an equation. With a little practice and experimentation, it is possible to create complex equations. The chapter also concerns the Microsoft Visio application, which is a useful tool for making simple drawings. It is not a CAD application but has some very powerful features.
