This chapter describes how to specify graphical parameters, including information about specifying colors, how to generate sets of coherent colors, information about how to specify fonts for drawing text, and information about how to produce special symbols and formatting for drawing mathematical formulae. The information in this chapter is useful for controlling the output of almost all graphics functions in R.
