Counterfactuals and Comparative Possibility
David D. Lewis · 1987
Abstract Proposes an analysis of counterfactual conditionals in terms of possible‐world semantics. Various issues arising from the proposed analysis are then discussed, including possible equivalent reformulations and various ways in which the set of all sentences valid under the analysis can be axiomatized, taking the counterfactual connective as primitive.
