‘One-day wonder' websites used to launch attacks

Research by Blue Coat Systems has found that 71% of hostnames on the Internet are in use for just 24 hours. While the majority of these ‘one-day wonders' are legitimate, the firm says that many are being used to facilitate attacks and manage botnets, taking advantage of the site being new and unknown to evade security solutions.
