New product applications: Single-board bipolar microcomputer emulates any mini- or microcomputer

IEEE Spectrum · 1978

The T-1000 is a single-board bipolar microcomputer that is designed for use in applications where software is available but computer operation is not fast enough or powerful enough for system expansion or new product development. It eliminates the cost and bother of new software and interface designs and can be microprogrammed to run the instruction set of any known minicomputer as well as any microcomputer.
