Awakening

Awakening is not an absolute. It is a term that describes a comparison between a past state and a new one. This chapter begins by discussing the stages to mature product development. Well, reliability is one of those tasks that, when done right, touches almost all roles in a product development program. Which can also mean it is not easy to pin down the ownership for these tasks. The ownership chart came about because the author frequently found himself sketching diagrams of who in the organization was taking responsibility for reliability activities and who needed to be. In any organizational assessment, it's critical to listen closely to language. Big organization, small organization – it doesn't matter. The thing that moves information along is language, or dialogue.
