Biometric skimmers threaten the security of biometric ATM authentication

There are at least 12 sellers offering skimmers capable of stealing ATM users' fingerprints. At least three underground sellers are already researching devices that could illegally obtain data from palm vein and iris recognition systems. This is according to the findings of a Kaspersky Lab investigation into how cybercriminals could exploit biometric ATM authentication technologies.
