Why should health managers bother to learn anything about the new computer devices? Why not leave that to the specialists? The author describes some of the potential uses for the new “minis” and “micros,” as well as the ubiquitous microprocessor. He also shows that some unpleasant side effects of the “computer revolution” can be avoided if the manager is willing to take charge.
