Anti‐spam mail system

Abstract The method of rejection or deletion is a well‐known method of dealing with spam. However, the following problem arises in electronic mail systems based on SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol). Since the objective in such systems is to provide service to particular or general users, if valid pieces of mail are incorrectly judged to be spam, the procedure not only will be ineffective, but normal electronic mail will not be delivered at all. This paper proposes a means of solving this problem so as prevent spam mail. We present an implementation of our proposed system in this paper, along with an evaluation experiment. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
