Using Excel's Regression Utility

C. Fred Hall III · 2021

This chapter takes the reader through all the steps necessary to employ Excel's regression utility. The first step is to “enable,” that is, to install the regression utility in one's computer. The information and exhibits are for single variable regressions. The multiple variable regressions are slightly different, but the differences are important to note. More on creating the regression graphs is discussed in this chapter. The regression utility is capable of creating dazzling graphs that can be updated instantly as new data is entered in the adjoining tables. There is a utility that will enable the readers to re-assign the Word template links to a renamed Excel file. In true Excel fashion, it is slow and cumbersome. After the readers move the two templates to a new folder with the client's name, they can re-assign the Word links to the Excel files in that folder.
