The chapter goes into detail on recognizing pre-incident indicators prior to an attack taking place. Your best chance of surviving an ambush or assault is recognizing those actions that need to take place for the threat to go from a nonthreat blending in, to assaulting you. The early you can recognize when a potential attack is developing, the great chance you have of surviving or avoiding it altogether.
